Founded and artistically directed by pianist and educator Dr. Junyi Nie, Kansas City Youth Music (KCYM) is a community-based initiative dedicated to inspiring the next generation of musicians and fostering meaningful connections through music. KCYM provides young performers with opportunities to share their talents in diverse settings — from senior living communities to public stages — while cultivating artistry, confidence, and empathy.

Through concerts, collaborative projects, and future educational events, KCYM strives to bridge generations, celebrate cultural diversity, and nurture a lifelong love of music within the Kansas City community.
