On August 29th, Dr. Junyi Nie Piano Studio visited Kingswood Senior Living Community for a delightful summer piano salon. Dr. Junyi Nie performed Bach’s Prelude in C Major and Philip Glass’s Etude No. 8 as the opening. The studio’s talented students presented a variety of pieces, including Clementi sonatinas, Schumann character pieces, and some American songs.
The Huang siblings, Anna and Austin, brought joy to the audience with their enchanting four-hand duet by Jon George. At the end of this concert, the group came together to perform the lively ensemble piece I Love Coffee. As the encore, Dr. Nie performed her original piano solo work, A Letter to Fengming.

The students didn’t just bring music—they also shared handmade crafts and drawings with the audience, spreading even more joy and warmth. The performance received glowing praise from Kingswood residents.
We are deeply grateful to Kingswood for giving us the opportunity to volunteer and to Ms. Clair Eagan for helping organize this special event.

An interesting coincidence made the day even more memorable—August 29th happened to be the birthday of two young members of the studio, Mia Zhang and Quinton Cheung! We celebrated together, making it a truly unforgettable and extraordinary day.
